Cards
Overview
Credit and Debit card payments are a fundamental payment method that allow your customers to make purchases using their credit cards issued by banks or financial institutions. As a merchant using our payment processing system, you can accept major credit card brands including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and other regional card networks.
How Credit Card Payments Work
When a customer initiates a credit card payment on your platform, the following process occurs:
-
Card Data Collection: The customer enters their card details (card number, expiration date, CVV, and cardholder name) through our secure payment form in our Paywall, or you can send it to us yourself when creating a transaction.
-
Authorization: Our system sends the card information to the relevant card network and issuing bank to verify the card's validity and ensure sufficient funds are available.
-
Authentication: For enhanced security, transactions may undergo 3D Secure authentication (3DS), where the customer verifies their identity through their bank.
-
Processing: Once authorized, our system processes the payment and sends confirmation to both you and your customer.
-
Settlement: The funds are transferred from the customer's account to your merchant account, typically within 1-3 business days depending on your agreement.
