CURP as mandatory API field for Mexico
To be in compliance with the local requirements of our partners, from 01/01/2024 personal identifiers (CURP) will be mandatory and will be validated before processing the payment. Customers in countries other than Brazil, Argentina or Costa Rica are not affected by this change.

The CURP is the identification document used in Mexico. The CURP number is a unique identification code assigned to each individual.
When processing payments, it's crucial to validate the entered CURP to ensure accuracy. The CURP should contain a total of 18 characters, including numbers and letters with no special characters. The CURP is composed as follows:
Name: MARTIN AGUIRRE ARRIAGA
CURP: AUAM 630703 H HG TGR 02*
*Please provide the CURP number without spaces for accurate processing.
AUAM .- Initial of the first surname and internal first vowel of the first surname; Initial of the second surname and initial of the name. M⁴artin A¹gU²irre A³rriaga.
630703 .- Date of birth. Format AAMMDD.
H .- Gender. H stands for Male and M stands for Female.
HG .- Federal entity. List of federal entities.
TGR .- First internal consonants of name and surnames. MarT¹in AG²uirre ArR³iaga
02 .- Homonym differentiator and verification digit.
